My journey begins with a long plane ride from New Mexico to Hamburg, Germany, where I will stay in a hostel alongside 19 other program participants. From there we will engage in workshops focused on intercultural learning, sustainable cities, change-making, and transatlantic relations. Then onto trips to visit the East Side Gallery, a German recycling facility, and boat trip on the Elbe River, while exploring both the city of Berlin and Hamburg through guided tours and personal adventures. Along the way, I'll have the opportunity to meet locals, meet with representatives from the U.S. Consulate, and take part in a vibrant intercultural community.
